Dharmendra Pradhan's Western Offshore Visit: the Complete Story

Honourable minister was accompanied by U. P. Singh, Joint Secretary (Exploration), Dinesh K. Sarraf, CMD, ONGC, T. K. Sengupta, Director-Offshore, A. K. Dwivedi, Director (Exploration), Prashant Lokhande, Deputy Secretary (Exploration), MoPNG and B. S. Pradhan, PS to the Honourable Minister and other senior executives from Western Offshore. Pradhan first landed at the deck of Rig-Virtue-1 to have an overall understanding about the complex nature of offshore drilling operations. The chartered-hire Rig has been deployed in the Mumbai High North field and is attached to the WO-16 Platform. A detailed presentation on the drilling operations was made to Mr Pradhan by Mr Nihar Gantayat, GGM-Head Drilling Services, Mumbai. Pradhan evinced keen interest in each and every aspect of the drilling operations and continuously enquired about the complexities involved.
