Administrative Law: Ripeness Natural Gas Act: LNG Terminal

In 2004, FERC, the U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Department of Transportation enter into an agreement to coordinate review of proposed liquified natural gas (LNG) facilities, including terminals and pipelines. FERC is designated the lead agency in preparing any required environmental impact statements. Weaver's Cove Energy proposes a LNG terminal and facility in the City. A final EIS is prepared in May 2005 and a conditional approval of the project is issued on July 11, 2005.
