New drills,bits reduce HPHT well costs in Venezuela field

Turbodrills and dilamond-impregnated drill bits have improved drilling metrics trhough hard,abrasive,alloch-thonous Mesozoic rocks overlying productive Miocene formations.Drilling in the Bosque field in eastern Venezuela has long been costly and time-consuming.Many efforts have been undertaken over the years to minimize expenditures,with some limited success.
