New design uses ambient pressure insulated LNG pipeline offshore

A new LNG pipeline design improves on existing technology by reducing pipeline costs and maintenance requirements and increasing pipeline reliability.LNG is currently the fastest growing hydrocarbon fuel in the world.While natural gas as a primary fuel is forecast to grow at 3%/year during the next 2 decades,LNG is forecast to grow at double that rate over the same period.Additional facilities for the production and transportation of LNG will be needed in the foreseeable future,and as a result new technologies will emerge to address possible cost,safety,and reliability issues.
