Mexico: W&T Offshore Inc announced a deepwater discovery at the Ewing Banks 954 A-8 exploratory in the Gulf of Mexico. The discovery will be known as Ewing Bank 910 and follows the start of production from the Medusa SS No. 6 well on Mississippi Canyon Block 538, also located in the Gulf of Mexico. In a statement, the company reported that the new well penetrated a total of 46 m (150 ft) of measured depth hydrocarbon pay contained in two sands.
