The Canadian energy industry is maintaining its strength thanks to its immense,though costly,oil-sands resources,says Michelle Dathorne,an S&P director."The growth in Canada is coming from the Canadian oil sands,"Dathorne said at S&P's recent oil and gas conference in Houston."They have an estimated 300 billion barrels of recoverable reserves,a non-declining production profile and no exploration risk."
