Amid strong natural gas prices,both deep and shallow Appalachian Basin horizons are now drawing stepped-up drilling interest.During the past century,an estimated 50 trillion cubic feet (Tcf) of natural gas has been produced out of the Appalachian Basin in the northeastern U.S.More notably,another 50 Tcf of estimated recoverable gas reserves remain.
