New York-based Amerada Hess Corp. has made a second oil discovery in its 2002 drilling program in the Rio Muni Basin, offshore Equatorial Guinea. The G-7 well, drilled onBlock G to a total depth of 8,140 feet in approximately 1,456 feet of water, encountered 162 feet of net oil pay. The discovery, Akom, lies about 12 miles northeast of Ceiba Field.
