AN ALTERNATIVE STRUCTURE

Houston-based Copano Energy LLC has adopted an alternative to the traditional MLP structure as a publicly held limited liability company.It owns 4,800 miles of gathering and interstate pipelines and gas-processing facilities along the Texas Gulf Coast and,as a result of its acquisition of Tulsa-based ScissorTail Energy in August 2005,in central and eastern Oklahoma.Its four plants process approximately 800 million cubic feet of gas per day.Since formed in 1992,it made more than 30 acquisitions.
