EY: Revenue, reserves increased sharply for nitty 50 in 2014

Just how successful were the 50 largest U.S. E&P companies (as measured by end-of-year oil and gas reserves) in 2014? Their aggregate revenues grew 10% and their oil and gas reserves increased by 8% and 7%, respectively. But success came at a higher cost, because when compared to 2013, they spent 16% more in 2014 to achieve these results. That's according to EY's eighth annual study of U.S. oil and gas reserves. It looked at performance and spending data for the past five years for the 50 companies.
