Operators might make Eagle Ford's sweet spot a cavity

The Eagle Ford Shale's mystery is gone, but the South Texas play's allure is undiminished. Since 2009, the Eagle Ford has seen increases in drilling activity, well quality and production. With more than 10,000 wells drilled in a dozen counties, the industry has concentrated 80% of all wells in seven economic counties. The results from Gonzales, Karnes and DeWitt counties are the best, on average, according to a report by Bob Brackett, senior analyst, Bernstein Research.
