Elastomer compounds used to produce gaskets, marine block bearings, bottom-hole engines, screw pump stators and other heavy duty components that are exposed to sliding friction. Such highly resistant components should have low friction factor and minimal instant of move.Existing elastomers are being constantly modified in order to improve their performance properties.Different modification types can be used: three-dimensional modification (injecting modifiers at the initial elastomer production stage), surface modification (processing the surface of finished components using modifiers), combined modification (volumetric+surface modification).
