The first technologies for treating bottomhole formation production zones and injection wells with hydrochloric acid etc. were used in the United States in the late 19th century. Now virtually all the global servicing companies - Baker Hughes, Schlumberger, Halliburton, McDermot, BJ Services and others - have developed, patented and are successfully treating wells using proprietary acid solutions based on pure synthetic hydrogen chloride with specific sets of complex additives, ensuring the long-term growth of well yields, the retention of reservoir features and corrosion protection for upstream equipment.
