Less than a year after becoming publicly traded via a reverse merger, ZaZa Energy Corp. is emerging from a period of transition with its energies focused on two name-brand resource plays. The small upstart of three years past, with a flamboyant reputation for backing a drag-racing team and hosting the best (some would say loudest) industry parties, is hoping to parlay its entrepreneurial panache to build scale in either the South Texas Eagle Ford shale play, the East Texas Eaglebine (aka Woodbine), or both-depending.
