The main criterion of the shut-off valve performance is sealability of its closing element, the quantitative characteristic of which is flow rate of the transported gas passing through the closing element in its closed position. Total gas losses in the period of time between the leak initiation and its elimination are determined by an integral relation, which creates high requirements to the frequency of sealability control measurements.
