Myron Stadnyk, president and chief executive officer of ARC Resources, grew up in Saskatchewan with parents who were both teachers. So achieving bad marks in school wasn't an option because "you were coming home to teachers." The assumption was that he would also go to university. Except, as Stadnyk finished high school, he wasn't entirely sure what to do next. He kind of wanted to do everything. So he got his pilot's license, did some road construction and eventually started thinking more seriously about how to earn a living.
