INDIA UNVEILS WORLD'S FIRST SOLAR-POWERED AIRPORT

The Cochin International Airport in Kochi, India, has become the world's first solar-powered airport with the start-up of a dedicated 12-megawatt-peak solar plant in August. The plant consists of 46,150 panels bathing in 45 acres of sun; it will produce 50,000-60,000 units of electricity per day to be used for 100 per cent of the airport's operational functions.
