Alaskans received their fair share

Every resident of Alaska became a little bit richer in October. As part of the state's oil wealth trust fund, established by a constitutional amendment passed in 1976 that requires a portion of state oil revenue be put in savings, every resident who has lived in the state for a year or longer received a lump sum of more than $2,000.
