More than 30 companies were nominated for the inaugural EPAC Awards, a program launched by The Explorers and Producers Association of Canada and JuneWarren-Nickle's Energy Group to honour excellence in entrepreneurship among Canada's oil and gas producers. In December and January, those nominees were ranked by a number of metrics, including total return, production, cash flow and reserve growth, finding and development costs, finding, development and acquisition costs, and operating recycle ratios. And they were asked, via survey, to provide information on a variety of reputational qualities including community involvement and support, student hiring programs and mentorship, technical innovation and leadership, and environmental stewardship.
