Wind power is on the verge of becoming competitive with fossil fuels, according to a report from Bloomberg. The company looked at the price of turbines worldwide and found costs had plummeted in recent years. Since the first half of 2009, prices have dropped 26 per cent—enough to put wind power just 5.5 per cent behind the cost of electricity from coal.
