FOREIGN INVESTORS FUEL CANADIAN ENERGY TRADE: REPORT

Canada's energy exports currently generate enough revenue to feed every Canadian household for an entire year. A new report from the University of Calgary's (U of C's) School of Public Policy calculates that the country's energy exports are worth the equivalent of writing a $9,000 cheque to every household in Canada. According to Statistics Canada, the average Canadian household spent nearly $8,000 annually on food in 2012.
