By various accounts, the Canadian oil and gas industry will face a worker shortage of anywhere from 70,000 to 140,000 warm bodies in the next decade or two. Other sectors are also feeling the manpower pinch: the construction industry is looking at filling 100,000 jobs in the next five years, and recently headed to Ireland to recruit workers from that country's devastated construction industry.
