Operations at Christina Lake continue to deliver strong results as production nears capacity just months after the accelerated start up of Phase C in the fall of 2011. Accelerated start-up techniques developed by Cenovus Energy Inc., as the operator of the project, combined with the high quality of the reservoir, have been pegged for the production success achieved to date. As Christina Lake production accelerates, Cenovus is committed to bring future expansion phases on with increasing efficiency.
