Bitumen producers can look forward to continued differential volatility in North American commodity markets, and some observers are now starting to suggest that this continued unrest, coupled with global prices that could stabilize around US$100 a barrel for the benchmark Brent crude, may impact future oil-sands development plans in Alberta.
