Conventional oil production to rise-then peak

Alberta can expect to see a 6.8 per cent rise in conventional oil production, the Energy Resources Conservation Board (ERCB) predicts. Conventional crude oil is forecast to peak in 2013 and then begin to decline at four percent a year. In its forecast, the ERCB estimates last year's production of 73 million cubic metres will decline to 65 million cubic metres by the year 2020.
