Meeting the gas challenge

Natural gas has been a reliable partner in the daily lives of Canadians for many years and holds great promise to play an even larger role. But before Canadian natural gas can fully contribute to Canada's energy security and economic prosperity, several market challenges must be overcome. Canada is the third-largest producer of natural gas. Only Russia and the United States produce more than we do. We currently produce an average 6.4 trillion cubic feet annually.
