The Oxford English Dictionary announced some months ago that the Word of the Year for 2009 was "unfriend"-a new Facebook term. If the global economic community had to pick its own Word of the Year to represent 2009, it would probably be "phew." It's easy to forget how close to core meltdown we felt a year ago. In Canada, the simple end of the decline was exciting news. As to a full-fledged recovery, there is still plenty of uncertainty, especially in western Canada.
