LONG LAKE RESUMES FULL OPERATIONS AFTER AER AMENDS PIPELINE SUSPENSION ORDER

Nexen says it can resume 100 per cent of its operations at its Long Lake integrated oil-sands and upgrader facility after the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) approved the resumption of a number of project pipelines. The AER had issued a suspension order of 15 pipeline licenses in late August after Nexen's voluntary self-disclosure of non-compliances following a major emulsion spill.
