摘要

The high-energy neutrons emitted by the pulsed-neutron generator (PNG) lose energy through elastic and inelastic scattering with nuclei in the formation.While inelastic scattering plays a significant role in the initial slowing down of the neutrons,the subsequent energy loss is dominated by the presence of hydrogen.
