There has never been a time in the oilsands sector where interests from outside Canada were not in its picture. In recent years, however, these relationships have begun to change quite significantly and promise to become even more important as development continues to build. It's all a matter of pockets—Canadian producers simply do not have the funds to make it happen on their own.
