Fort McMurray airport launches first regularly scheduled international flight

It's not officially Fort McMurray International Airport yet, but it's well on its way. In early June, Denver International Airport welcomed the inaugural flight from Fort McMurray, marking the first scheduled non-stop passenger service from Canada's oilsands hub to the United States. "This flight connects YMM with the fifth busiest airport in the U.S., making it convenient and less costly for visitors to access Denver as well as other major cities in the U.S.," said Scott Clements, president and chief executive officer of the Fort McMurray Airport Authority, in a statement.
