New Personal Rescue Device is announced to allow you to "conduct your own rescue immediately after a fall from height has been arrested." As an integrated harness system, PRD conducts the entile process in seconds: When a fall occurs the fall protection and harness incorporated into PRD arrest the fall as normal. You use a parachute-style cord to activate the descent system. A 20-m spool and brake mechanism gently lowers you to the ground in a controlled descent. Once safely on the ground, the harness is easily released for quick exit from a fall zone.
