New patented reverse thread chaser tools are out for oil, gas, and geothermal drilling as well as refineries, pipelines, or power plant applications. They are hard enough to reform bent and damaged threads on grade 8 BOP bolts, as six-point 2 1/2-in. OD dies with eight threads per inch. This size fits nuts for most BOP bolts and studs, the developer declares.
