"Core-to-pore" petrography workflow is now available for core analysis of unconventional gas reservoirs. It includes a new automated, large-scale, high-resolution imaging method to view and analyze petrographic data sets with length scales ranging from centimeters to nanometers. The workflow is announced as a dedicated solution for gas shale applications. It provides information of growing importance in the exploration and production of unconventional tight reservoirs, declares its developer.
