A new line of prefabricated fiberglass shelters is out to house and protect mechanical and electrical controls, process equipment, chemicals, and workers. Built to withstand "the most hazardous weather conditions," standard sizes are 8 ft tall, 4 to 16-ft wide, and up to 42 ft long. They comprise foam-core fiberglass walls, closed-molded to ensure watertight, seamless bond. A UV-stable gelcoat is applied to protect from continuous outdoor exposure and corrosion.
