8th International Conference 'Resource Reproducing, Low-wasted and Environmentally Protecting Technologies * of Development of the Earth Interior' September 14-18, Tallinn 2009, Estonia

About 60 people participated in the 8th international conference "Resource Reproducing, Low-wasted and Environmentally Protecting Technologies of Development of the Earth Interior", 30 scientists from five countries among them. Conference proceedings include more than 170 publications by scientists and researchers of ten countries: Estonia, Russia, the Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tadzhikistan, Latvia, Germany, Kyrgyzstan, and Peru. Conference sessions were divided into five sections: 1) Environmentally protected development of mineral deposits. 2) Complex usage of Earth interior and raw minerals. 3) Geoecology: burial and transformation of liquid waste in lithosphere. 4) Economy of effective Earth interior usage. 5) New technology and equipment and development of mineral resources. The sessions were held during three days, followed by the day of closing ceremony. The final day was spent on technical excursion to ?Aidu" open cast to watch blasting works and to visit Kohtla-N5mme Mining Museum and Kukruse Oil Shale Museum.
