Ballot Proposal 2 passes by wide margin: MOGA, MUCC part of coalition supporting increased funding for recreation, conservation

The Michigan Oil And Gas Association (MOGA) and Michigan United Conservation Clubs (MUCC) this week applauded Michigan voters' passage of Proposal 2 on the Aug. 6, 2002 primary ballot. The two organizations were part of a diverse coalition of business leaders, conser vationists and environmental leaders who supported and promoted the ballot issue to increase the amount of funds available to several state funds - including the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund (MNRTF) - at no cost to the state's taxpayers.
