SINCE GOMET RIDGE'S decision to set up shop in the North American market, the company founded as a spin-off of Strike Oil's Australian coal seam gas (CSG) interests has been eclipsed by its sibling and sometime partner.Comet Ridge managing director Andy Lydyard's strategy of acquiring large landholdings in "less fashionable" regions such as the Rocky Mountains and the Pacific Northwest is set to be tested as the company prepares to drill as many as 16 wells over the next 12 months.
