Year 2003. On decoration

It very often happens that after the Cersaie of Bologna closes its doors, we find ourselves reflect on the new products presented. And often, we hear talk about the leveling off of what is on offer, of product homologation. In reality, it rarely happens that there are such significantly innovative products that suggest a true new direction. At a deeper level, it is more frequent to notice a constant and progressive although slow evolution. Materials for example, have significantly developed from very small and often decorated sizes to large size tiles which are mainly treated only on their surface. Decoration, and we also mean by this term an almost educational experimentation in the third firing sector, is today the main issue of all cultural events focusing on design.
