Weekly average price of OPEC basket continued it's upward trend during the first half of February 2013, to reach it's highest level of $ 114.5/bbl in the second week. Prices were back during the second half of the month, to reach it's lowest level of $109.3/bbl in the last week, as shown in figure 1: In monthly basis, OPEC Reference Basket averaged $112.8/ bbl, representing an increase of $3.5/bbl or 3.2% comparing with previous month, and a decrease of $4.7/bbl or 4.0% from the same period of previous year.
