LYNDA BENGLIS

Lynda Benglis is an omnivorous artist, hungrily putting her hands on a wide array of materials: aluminium, beeswax, bronze, clay, latex, lead, glass, metal, paper, and polyurethane foam among them. As a young artist in the whirlpool of New York in the late 1960s and 1970s, Benglis encountered every imaginable artistic strategy. It was a time in which art defied classification, whether by medium or method or movement.
