Pirelli to Build $500 Million Radial Track Tire Factory In Argentina

Pirelli announced today (Oct. 13) it will build a new radial truck tire factory in Argentina to strengthen its position there. The project calls for the investment of $300 million for the first phase and $200 million for the second phase. The first phase aims to deliver an annualproduction capacity of 700,000 truck tires and employ about 700 people. The second phase would enable the plant to reach a potential production capacity of 1.4 million tires at full operation, and employ about 1,200 people.
