In the recent years the requirements regarding quality and processing of rubber compounds in the rubber processing industry have increased considerably. A special emphasis is given on the wish for clean rubber compounds which are not contaminated by dirt, foreign substances and poor dispersion. The unacceptable impurities cause an increase in the scrap rate due to malfunctions during the process as well as a shortfall in the required quality features of the final products.
