Banks need to understand problems of MSMEs & devise strategies to gear credit mechanism: RBI

The MSME sector in general and more specifically the small and micro enterprises rely heavily on the banks for finance and as such banks have to recognise the vast potential that exists in responsible lending to the MSE segment, according to Executive Director of Reserve Bank of India, Deepali Pant Joshi. She also emphasised the need to bridge the existing credit gap in the sector.
