摘要

Diamondoids are organic compounds (hydrocarbons) with unique structures and properties due to their exceptional atomic arrangements. They melt at much higher temperatures than other hydrocarbon molecules with the same number of carbon atoms in their structure, contain dense, three- dimensional networks of covalent bonds and are materials with superior strength-to- weight ratio. They possess low strain energy, hence are ultra stable and stiff materials.
