VEB to more than double loan for Boguchansk Aluminum Smelter construction

Vnesheconombank (VEB) will more than double project financing to complete the construction of the first phase of the Boguchansk Aluminum Smelter from 21.9 billion rubles to 47.2 billion rubles, Russian power generating company OJSC RusHydro said in a press release. The board of directors of RusHydro, which is jointly implementing the Boguchansk Energy and Metals Complex (BEMO) project with Russian aluminum company UC Rusal, approved changes to the financing scheme for the project on November 30.
