Environmental watchdog recommends revoking three Yakutugol coal licenses

The Federal Environmental Monitoring Service (Rosprirodnadzor) has found violations of license agreements at four of nine resource properties in the course of an inspection of OJSC Yakutugol, a coal mining division of steel and coal group Mechel.The watchdog said in a statement that the principal violations were found at the Moschny seam at the Neryungrinskoye deposit, Pyatimetrovy and Promezhutochny seams of the II Neryungrin-skoye hard coal deposit, at the Dzhebariki-Khaya deposit, and the Kangalasskoye brown coal deposit.
