Kazakhstan produces 35% more gold, 17% more steel in Jan-Sept

Kazakhstan increased production of fine gold by 34.9% year-on-year to 12,463 kg in the first nine months of 2011, the government statistics agency reported. The country increased production of unprocessed and semi-processed gold by 31.3% to 27,541 kg in the nine months, and output of unprocessed and semi-processed silver by 18.7% to 476,736 kg.
