Firstly, I have a confession to make. At the time of writing I haven't touched clay for some ten months. I have never had a consistent working rhythm, being used to intense bursts with periods of hiatus, or subsidising my practice with other jobs. This, though, is one of the longer holes in my working life. Actually, 'hole' is not true: I've been working like stink. Last July, after delaying for years, I finally started building a workshop.
