MOSCOW. (Interfax) - The Russian Federal Property Fund will hold a tender on October 5 for 68.86 percent of Elgaugol, the company licensed to develop the big Elga coal field in Yakutia, and 75 percent minus one share in Yakutugol, a major coking coal exporter, at a combined starting price of 47.396 billion rubles (1.84 billion dollars), the property Fund said on August 17. The bidding increment will be 100 million rubles. A special purpose vehicle, wholly owned by the Republic of Yakutia, holds the Yakutia republic's share packages in Yakutugol and Elgaugol. Another 29.5 percent of Elgaugol belonging to Russian Railways (RZD) will be offered together with the two stakes, as will a railway track owned by RZD and a road from Zeisk to the Elga deposit.
